Leonard Cerullo, MD - Discusses Treatment for Pituitary Tumors

As highlighted in a recent New York Times Magazine article, pituitary tumors can be difficult to diagnose due to the vague nature and wide array of symptoms. Their treatment can also present challenges as a result of the distinct differences in the types of pituitary tumors. Size and the secreting or non-secreting nature of the tumor influence the appropriate treatment, either with medicines, surgery and/or radiation therapy or stereotactic radiosurgery.
